History

History

When Pioneer was incorporated in 1972, Houston was enjoying its new fame as “Space City” with the establishment of NASA’s Johnson Space Center. Rather than starting with small, local projects, Pioneer hit the ground running managing facilities and logistics contracts for NASA.

The company soon expanded its services to include commercial office relocation and warehousing, which remain the cornerstone services of our Business Support Services  division today. As Pioneer gained a reputation as a leading business service provider, it continued to expand its capabilities to provide innovative office solutions to companies in Houston — and beyond.

In 1996, Pioneer enhanced its Furniture and Office Design services  by partnering with HNI, the world’s second-largest manufacturer of office furnishings. The HNI family encompasses several major brands — including Allsteel, Gunlocke, Hon and Paoli — allowing us to provide options for every style, budget and functional need.

After decades of helping companies move their offices and documents, Pioneer noticed a trend: many businesses lacked a comprehensive system for managing their records. We opened our Records Management division in 2006 to meet this growing need. Whether your files are paper, digital or a combination of the two, we can help you develop a system for easily storing and recalling information.

While our company is divided into three divisions — Business Support Services, Furniture & Office Design and Records Management —  each is structured in a consistent manner that reflects the lessons Pioneer has learned throughout its four decades of operation.
